Rodney planted Stonegate Church in the fall of 2009, after spending almost 8 years investing into the lives of students. He received a B.A. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rodney enjoys Jesus, family, a good book, catching big bass, and tennis. He is married to Laura, and they have two daughters, Hannah and Eva, and a son, Caleb.
Kevin joined the Stonegate staff in September 2014. He grew up in Arlington, TX and at age 20, left for Santa Cruz, CA to attend Bethany Bible College. While in California, he became a full time evangelist and traveled to 42 states and 8 countries preaching the gospel. He was privileged to speak at seven Billy Graham Associate Crusades giving his testimony and ministering to the youth. Kevin moved back to Texas in 1993. Since then, he has served in a bi-vocational capacity as youth pastor and singles pastor. God has birthed in him a great passion for reaching the lost and making His name known. He is married to Elizabeth (who has the biggest heart of anyone he has ever met!) He is blessed to have two sons, Justin and Grant.
Ryan Kearns got his bachelors in Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He met his wonderful wife, Crystal, in college and got married in 2004. Shortly after getting married, they moved to Denver Colorado where Ryan got his Masters of Divinity with an emphasis in Leadership from Denver Seminary. From there, Ryan helped re-plant a church in Denver before moving to Seattle to serve in multiple roles at Mars Hill Church. Before coming to Stonegate Church, Ryan planted a church in Seattle. When not at church, Ryan loves to go for a run, eat BBQ and travel. Ryan and Crystal have two incredibly funny and curious little girls named Grace and Emma. They love getting outdoors as a family and going on adventures.
Tony is a Houston native and proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he received his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering in 2009. It was in the show choir at UT that he met his beautiful and loving wife Sarah, and their family now includes their one son Malachi. Tony has also received his MDiv from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2012 to deepen his understanding and love for God as well as to better equip himself to equip the saints. His three passions are family, teaching, and music, and he enjoys fantasy football, soccer, traveling, tutoring math and musical theater. He feels so blessed to be given the opportunity to serve alongside an incredible team to minister to and equip the people the Lord has brought to Stonegate.
Since 2005 Jimmy has been a full time recording artist, working to make the gospel rhyme around the world. He serves in the worship ministry at Stonegate, equipping and developing worship leaders to hone their craft and know their God. Jimmy is married to Kelly Needham, and they have two daughters, and one son.
Kevin or “Kev” is proud to say that he is from the great state of Texas. He married his beautiful wife Christina in May of 2014. He helped plant Stonegate in the Fall of 2009 and continues to lead the church in worship. He also has been traveling for over 8 years and leads worship across the United States. For 3 years (2010-2013), he led weekly for Paradigm - a college bible study for the students of Tarleton State University. He also has led for LifeWay's Fuge camps, Super Summer Camps, and other various events. He also has a big heart for the nations. Traveling to many different countries (including South Africa, Zimbabwe, Russia, Mexico, and Spain), Kevin has used his talent of music to share the Gospel to many different people groups. In the spring of 2013, he took a step into the "artistry" world by working on his first self-titled EP where close friend & fellow artist Jimmy Needham came along side and produced the entire project. Kevin is very passionate about spreading the Gospel of Jesus through song and is excited to watch God’s Kingdom grow in and through Stonegate Church!
Curtis Anderson joined the Stonegate staff in July 2017, he and his wife Tarsha have 4 children Langston, Leah, Londyn, and Malcolm. Curtis graduated from Texas A&M Commerce in 1999 with a Bachelors in Kinesiology. Upon graduation, he rededicated his life to Christ and he became bi-vocational. He then spent some time working for the City of Dallas, Dallas County Juvenile and he spent some years as a Community Liaison for Dallas ISD. He was an associate minister at New Birth Baptist Church, then transitioned to Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. He also served as a youth pastor at a predominately Nigerian congregation called United Christian Fellowship. He then felt the Lord's call to pursue seminary so he and his family moved to Jackson Mississippi to attend Reformed Theological Seminary where he is currently working on his MDiv. While in Jackson, Curtis served as the Interim Pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church. Curtis enjoys reading and working out and taking long walks with his wife.
Jeff joined the Stonegate staff in 2014. He grew up in Plano, TX and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Biblical Studies. He is currently finishing a Master of Divinity at Southwestern Seminary. He came to Stonegate from Prestonwood Baptist Church, where he served for 3 years as Student Minister. Jeff has been in full-time student ministry going on 8 years and he can’t imagine doing anything else! Don’t be surprised if you hear the students call him, “Juice”. He loves to take that nickname from his college football days into his passion for preaching the Gospel. Juice has a passion to make Jesus known, and see others find their joy in the work of Christ. He whole-heartedly believes that students are the most influential generation on the planet, and he desires to tap into that influence to see it unleashed for the glory of God. He has been married to his drop-dead gorgeous wife, Sarah, for 7 years, and they have 2 beautiful daughters, Mclane and Stella. In his free time, Jeff loves dominating his fantasy football league and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys to their 2018 Super Bowl Championship.
Christina joined the Stonegate staff in April of 2016. She grew up in Mansfield, TX and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Christina has been serving in student ministry since college and she would say "working in student ministry, is the best job there is!" Christina has an eager desire for wanting students to fall in love with Jesus and for students to go and share the gospel. Christina is married to her sweet husband, Kevin, and in her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family.
Lauren joined the Stonegate staff in April of 2016, but has been a member of the Stonegate family since 2010. She is married to Mark and they have a little boy named Knox. She is a proud Cowboy and has received a Bachelors of Science degree from Oklahoma State University. Prior to coming onto staff at Stonegate, she has taught in Midlothian ISD as an elementary teacher for 6 years. She loves working with children and teaching them the character and love of Jesus Christ. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, playing outside with her family, designing t-shirts, having friends into their home and adventuring. She and her husband lead a home group in Midlothian.
Amy Beth Powell
Amy Beth received a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and taught first grade for several years before she married her husband, Nick. After getting married, she joined him on staff with Avant Ministries serving at a Bible camp near Juneau, Alaska. In 2016, they moved back to Texas and began attending Stonegate. Amy Beth has a passion for young children and a deep desire to see them give their lives to Jesus! She enjoys spending quality time with her family, being at the beach and cooking.
Cortni joined the Stonegate staff in March 2017, and has been part of the Stonegate family since 2012. She and her husband, Adam, have 3 beautiful children; Braden, Avery, and Brewer. Cortni graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2001 with a degree in Elementary Education and has spent the past 15 years teaching. She is passionate about teaching children, and is praying that Stonegate's preschool ministry will lay a strong foundation for many to come to know and love Jesus!
Jessica joined Stonegate's staff in August 2013. She and her husband, Lincoln, married in November 2013. Her passions are far-reaching, allowing her the privilege to serve and seek after Jesus in different ways. After receiving her degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University, she went on to then receive her Master's degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor at Christian Counseling of Mansfield and joyfully serves people in providing Biblical counseling simultaneously with her responsibilities at Stonegate. Jessica has a passion for adoption and orphan care and God has also placed within her a love for the Ugandan and Sudanese people. Jessica strongly desires to use the skills and experiences she has been gifted with for the benefit of all those placed in her life.
Evan joined the Stonegate staff in January 2017. He holds an Associates Degree in Emergency Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Memphis and is currently completing his Master of Theology (ThM) from Dallas Theological Seminary. Evan served in the Air Force for 5 years before being called into ministry. He married his amazing wife, Kelly, in 2011. They have one son, Evan Jr., and are expecting a baby girl in March 2017. Evan loves Jesus, spending time with his family, being outdoors, reading, and flying.
Jansen joined the staff at Stonegate in August 2017. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University in 2016, and is currently working on his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Jansen is passionate about serving people, especially the orphaned and refugees. He hopes to one day work internationally with the intention of living out the gospel in a foreign country.
Ashley joined the Stonegate staff in May of 2016 and has been a member of Stonegate since 2010. After growing up in Waxahachie, she graduated from Texas A&M University (whoop!) in 2006 with a BA in Communication. She is a single mom of three precious boys; Eason, Corban, and Hudson. They keep her on her toes at all times and are Jesus’ sweet grace to her every day. They love to read together and get outside in God’s creation every chance possible. Ashley is passionate about helping people know and live out the gospel and finding freedom in their lives through God’s grace. She loves serving the people and ministries at Stonegate and is honored to be a part of what God is doing to further his kingdom through Stonegate.
Sheri joined the Stonegate staff in July 2017. She grew up in Oklahoma, moving to Texas during her high school years. In 2003, she began serving as a worship leader for a local church, developing many programs to reach the community through music. Sheri has been involved in worship ministry for many years and God has grown in her a deep passion to share with others who God is and why worshiping Him is so important. Besides loving music, Sheri enjoys reading and spending time with her husband of 29 years, Joe, and their 3 beautiful girls.
Morgan joined the Stonegate staff in February of 2017, and as been a member of the church since 2016. She is newly married to her sweet husband, Christopher. Morgan was born and raised in Waxahachie, TX and she graduated from Navarro College with her Associates in General Business. Before becoming part of the Stonegate staff, Morgan interned with a ministry called Axis, based in Colorado Springs, CO. During this time, she traveled with a team of 3 other people across the US and Canada presenting to junior high and high school students about how to have life-long faith in Jesus, culture and technology. Morgan has a passion for seeing people of all ages understand the Gospel of Jesus. She loves adventuring with her husband, making coffee, game nights with community, homegroup, and exploring the great outdoors.
